　　3.新申请的剧增已大大超过了魁省2010年的计划。因此，移民部决定采取临时的控制措施，暂停接受投资移民项目的申请，以避免影响所有申请的受理速度。

　　The Ministry of Immigration and Cultural Communities temporarily suspends the receipt of requests for investor immigrants

　　Montreal, November 3, 2010 – Following a decision from the Ministry’s council issued today, the Ministry of Immigration and Cultural Communities temporarily suspend the receipt of applications for immigration from the immigrant investor category for the period from October 13 to 30 November 2010.

　　Last June the government announced its intention to revise upward the amount of investment required from immigrant investors and ceased since that time, to receive any new demand in this category. This announcement caused a significant increase in applications for immigration to Quebec from immigrant investors, thereby wish to avoid the new financial requirements be adopted soon and that Quebec should also harmonize the federal government.

　　This increase in immigration applications is far beyond the objectives of the 2010 Immigration Plan in Quebec. Thus, the Ministry of Immigration and Cultural Communities has decided to exercise temporary control over this situation to avoid a slowdown in processing all immigration applications. This decision will also allow Quebec to maintain the competitiveness of its Immigrant Investor Program.
