发音要决：舌尖（不是舌前部）抵住上齿龈根部，形成气流阻碍，然后气流突然冲破阻碍，发出爆破音。这时候[t]是清辅音，送气但不振动声带，[d]是浊辅音，不送气但要振动声带。这里再提醒一遍，两个辅音放在词末时，千万不能有附加的元音音素，把[t]发称“特”，把[d]发成“得”，否则单词bad（坏的）听起来就像汉语的“白的”，Kate（凯特，女名）真的听起来就成了“凯特”了。
